Varmint Patrol

Two varmints in two days released live and unharmed at Yellow Banks County Park where they lived happily ever after. Raccoon and Opossum. The raccoon bent up the trap in several places. He was a tough customer. He seemed nice enough in person though, and was glad to be freed.

  1. What are you trying to catch? Groundhogs?

  2. I am trying to relocate my rodents and marsupials to Yellow Banks. I hope I don't get a groundhog and it's probably too early for them. They hibernate and I don't know if they are up yet. I think they are too fat to get into the trap anyway, but they are also mean and crabby.

Oliver used to keep them all away, but they are moving back in, so I am exporting whatever I trap.

  3. Hi Jeff, I saw a groundhog today. We have caught several of them as well as raccoons and opossums in the past. The groundhogs eat in the garden which we really don't appreciate. Raccoons (I think) ate a bunch of fish from the pond last fall. Have a good wknd!
